In the wake of the public outcry against police brutality, Dwayne empowers audiences through THE STOP™ series which includes The STOP – Improving Police and Community Relations™ book, workbook, driver’s education manual, The STOP Challenge™ poster, and the online 17-part series, The NEW Conversation – Improving Police and Community Relations™, which explains the tensions between police and Black and Brown communities.
Dwayne has received a Proclamation from the state of Pennsylvania for his book: The STOP – Improving Police and Community Relations™. The STOP™ has also been endorsed by Illinois Congressman Danny K Davis and Illinois Secretary of State, Jesse White.
Recognizing his work for creating solutions to improve police and community relations, Dwayne received EBONY Magazine’s EBONY Power 100 “Community Crusader” award. He offers several proactive solutions the community can immediately implement utilizing data, case studies and proven strategies to ensure a new level of police and community cooperation.
Dwayne has been a frequent guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show, a correspondent for Next TV, has hosted the Unity breakfast supporting Chicago’s bid for The Barack Obama Presidential Library, and has been featured on major news networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, WYCC, WTTW, NBC, PBS, and C-Span for his impactful work throughout various communities.
He also holds dual degrees in Finance and International Business from Florida International University and a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University.
